Hello and welcome to Gary Wild's second edition of Silent Icy River. Loads of things have been happening since we spoke so let’s talk.
I'd like to call this first segment "Hit and Miss", simply because it's hit me that there are certain people whom I have worked with over the years that I do genuinely miss and today I'm going to talk about the first two, as the future Silent Icy River's come and go I'll be talking about a lot more.
Number one is Richard Noble. Rick and I were very close pals during his time in the NPWA; he was always a pleasure to work with. He was never unprofessional at any time, when he moved on we just never kept in touch which fills me with regret. I know injury prevents Rick from wrestling now and just in case he reads this I’d like to wish him all my very best and hope he stays well and happy.
Number two is Stu who played chaos in the NPWA and now plays Adam Fate in other companies, again Stu and I were close friends but when I’ve bumped into him, he has seemed quiet and a bit distant, I hope Stu was never told by anyone that there was any bad feelings on my part when he left because there wasn’t. I respected Stu then as I respect him now and wish him all the success in the world in his wrestling life.
Now getting on to something a bit different, The NPWA used to have an idiot by the name of Christopher Read who gave himself a doctorate and cast many a rumor around the NPWA locker rooms. Well Read is gone now so I, Acting Govenor Gary Wild will put out a few rumors I’ve picked up while spending a lot of time in head office.
Firstly, Gary Wild and Flash have always been close in the NPWA, well flash I just want put you on your guard by saying I’ve known snakes to turn on snake charmers and these snakes are usually cobra’s.
I was listening to a conversation at head office between Dread, Slayer and Miss Demeanour, Dread was saying how fear needed to be strengthend and at “the big one” (show?) he was going to put a big name into fear, a very big name.
I hear from a good friend that my arch enemy Luke Marsden is going to be away from the NPWA show for the near future. I hear head office have told him if he ever wants a position higher than a manager he must go away for some time to take stock of his past actions, I wonder where he is going?
All may not be well with Ultimate Devastation since losing the tag team titles, both Sebb and Havoc were shouting and balling and the only voice coming back to them was a small shaking female voice. Was this Static doll or someone else? My informer was not sure, but Sebb and Havoc were very displeased to say the least.
DNA and Fear beware, four, yes four very popular superstars have been having meetings and talking about how to combat these forces maybe by combining as a force themselves, watch this space. I cannot comment for the 3 other superstars but I’ve really enjoyed our meetings!!!!
As Acting Govenor one of my favorite jobs is being able to make some matches. Well here are three for “The Golden Rule” at The Social and Cabaret Club in Newton Le Willows.
Ultimate Devastation verses Myers and Fireball for the tag team titles.
AC Kage verses Adonis for the international title.
Paul “Flash” Andrews verses Angel D’Souza for the NPWA title.
Three top matches and at least 3 more to come.
Well we are at the end of this Silent Icy River so until next time take care and please come to see us at “The Golden Rule” show.
Luv and Respect
Gary Wild
