If you missed Passage To Pain, you missed something big. The controversy in the main event will be talked about for a long time to come. Before we look at the controversy here are the results of Passport to pain.
On to the controversy. A special guest referee was announced for the main event. Luke Marsden (formerly the govenor), representative of the RWA walked to the ring for the Enigma v Angel D'Souza match. Twice during the match Enigma pinned D'Souza, twice Marsden continued the match, claiming a 2 count on both occasions when the entire audience knows he actually counted a 3 count. Obviously a referee's decision is final, however closer to the end of the match D'Souza locked Enigma in a Texas Cloverleaf Hold. Enigma did not tap out, Marsden went and called for the bell claiming a D'Souza win. To his credit Angel D'souza would not take the victory claiming he was no cheat. When Enigma's back was turned D'Souza and Marsden showed their true colours attacking Enigma with the championship belt. D'Souza claimed the victory. Acting Governor Gary Wild is now looking into how Marsden could come back, how he was able to get himself into this position as guest referee and instigate himself to this level. One last point of controversy to add is Marsden and D'Souza declared themselves in collusion by declaring themselves as FUN (F*** U NPWA). |
