"Night Of Champions 6" was an amazing night of the best that British Professional Wrestling has to offer, the results were as follows:

1) “The Pigman” Andy Hogg defeated Angel D’Souza

Mr D’Souza felt the need to speak to the fans before his match, insisting that he never tapped out to Paul Andrews last month and that he should still be the NPWA Champion. However, the fans disagreed with him and directed chants of “you tapped out!” at the former Champion.

The Pigman arrived and Angel was clearly reluctant to “come in his ring” especially after Hogg declared that he’d be loving Angels tonight.

When the match got underway Hogg showed that he had just as much power as D’Souza, and his unusual style clearly put D’Souza off his game plan and allowed him to take control. The former Champion was no pushover though and it wasn’t long before he was back on offence and this Heavyweight clash was a close.

We once again saw the weakness of D’Souza, his temper. When he struggled to take that decisive fall he lost his focus and went to use an illegal foreign object to assault his opponent, but the referee caught him and snatched the weapon before he could cause any serious damage. With the referee’s back turned Hogg surprisingly shot a load of silly string into the face of D’Souza and caught him with a rollup to take the victory.

2) Adonis defeated Johnny Vodka to retain the International Championship

Vodka was the 1st D.N.A representative to go for gold at NOC6 and was looking to make an impact by becoming the 1st person to ever pin Adonis in one on one competition.

He tried to take down his larger opponent quickly and go for a submission, but Adonis was able to fight off this attack and used his brawling skill to briefly take control. However, Vodka would connect with an illegal low blow, which would bring a man of any size down to his knees.

Vodka focused on the leg of Adonis to try and soften it up in hopes of taking a submission win as the match progressed. Adonis tried several times to fight through the pain but a swift blow to the knee was enough to ground the big man once again.

It looked like we could have a new International Champion, but Adonis refused to submit and managed to get back on offence and all it took was his incredible BUM to get the 3 count and retain his gold.

FEAR made their way to the ring because Dread had something to say. He expressed his disgust regarding him being stripped of the triple T championship and criticised the decision of the NPWA Board of Directors.
Dread then called out Brickwall and, surprisingly, offered him a place in FEAR. Brickwall had won his respect in their past meetings and would be a powerful addition to the developing group.
However, Brickwall turned the spot down and made it official by delivering a Chokeslam, Powerbomb and Tombstone Piledriver to Slayer.

FEAR requested special time at this point to speak to the fans. Dread said that he was looking across the NPWA roster for the newest member of FEAR. Last month he offered Brickwall a place, but he was turned down. Now he was here to offer “The Future” Matt Slater a spot in FEAR and promised revenge on D.N.A as they moved to become the dominant force in the NPWA.

Matt Slater also chose to turn down the offer of FEAR, which upset Dread greatly and lead to a violent beating. Brickwall ran to the ring, seemingly to assist this young wrestler, but a high five for Dread showed otherwise and Brickwall joined in the assault.

Why has Brickwall aligned himself with FEAR?

3) Taylor Phoenix defeated Paul “Demo” Gibson

This was a big opportunity for Demo, a win over Phoenix could send waves over to America and around the world. This pressure seemed to bring out a more aggressive side of Demo.

Taylor Phoenix was able to use his impressive size and strength to his advantage in the early stages of the match as he over powered his smaller opponent. Demo had to think of a new way to try and get an advantage, and he used his speed to draw Phoenix into a trap as he lead him in a chase around the ring. Once Demo had control he had no wish to lose that position and he kept Phoenix grounded with constant stomps.

Demo was unable to secure win with his slams and before he could end things with a big move Phoenix fought back. Some big clotheslines dazed Demo and allowed Taylor to climb the ropes and come off with an incredible missile dropkick. Amazingly Demo kicked out at 2, but he wouldn’t get a chance to mount a comeback as the future WWE star finished off his final UK match with a devastating tombstone piledriver to take the win.

4) Enigma defeated Xander Cooper in a Lumberjack match to become the 1st ever NPWA European Champion

Lumberjacks at ringside: Mark Rage, Adonis, Carnage, Sebb, AC Kage, The Fireball, Adrian Myers, The Fireball, Sean Phoenix

The lumberjack’s job was simple, keep both men in the ring and make sure that someone walked out as European Champion. You could feel the tension as these two men faced off. In the last few months Enigma had been attacked by Cooper and his D.N.A associates, they had injured his friend Matt Slater, and Enigma had been able to eliminate Vodka from the European tournament. With that history and the added factor of the new title hanging in the balance the pressure was on.

Cooper tried to get in the mind of Enigma from the start, showing tremendous disrespect by slapping him in the face, but all he did was annoy Enigma who slapped him right back. “The Messiah” couldn’t believe that someone had the nerve to slap him and tried to rush Enigma with a surprise attack and the action really got underway. Enigma caught Cooper with an armdrag, but Cooper came back with one of his own, Enigma hit a Japanese armdrag, but Cooper came back with one of his own, Enigma used a leg sweep to get a near fall, but Cooper kicked out, so Enigma hit a dropkick and Cooper rolled to the outside. Now the lumberjacks should have come into play, but AC Kage protected Cooper and gave him the chance to regroup and refocus.

With Cooper back in the ring the two came in for a lock up but cooper struck out with a kick to the gut of his opponent and caught him off guard. Cooper whipped Enigma into the corner, but when he charged at him he was back dropped over the ropes and luckily managed to land on the apron. Cooper tried to recover with a slingshot back elbow but Enigma ducked it, Enigma went to splash Cooper in the corner but Cooper dodged that and scored a near fall with a schoolboy rollup, then Enigma then scored a near fall of his own with a backslide pin and the two took each other out as they both went for dropkicks.

This flurry of back and forth offence would unfortunately conclude as AC Kage provided a distraction that allowed Cooper to take total control.

Cooper then began to slowly pick apart the body of the former worlds Champion with some dangerous offence and it seemed like it could only be a matter of time before he raised the European Championship. Fans were certain that Enigma was knocked out when Copper delivered a unique hesitation dropkick to the back of the scull of Enigma, driving his face into the turnbuckle. Enigma rolled out of the ring to try and recover, but was met by offence from the lumberjacks who rolled him back into the ring before he could be counted out.

It looked like Enigma had the chance to turn things around when he got back in the ring. Cooper went to deliver an Irish Whip, but Enigma reversed, but Cooper reversed that and went for a big back body drop. Enigma saw this coming and delivered a quick boot to the chest of Cooper and then was able to avoid an impressive spinning kick. Enigma went for a waist lock, but Copper reversed this and scored a near fall with the Holy Roll and regained control of the match.

Cooper then decided to brake out his big time offence, damn near breaking the neck of Enigma with both the Messiah-nide and the Resurrection, but even that was not enough to put Enigma away.

Cooper needed one last big move to take the win, but as he whipped Enigma to the ropes he was caught off guard by a 619 that was converted into a head scissors that sent Cooper to the outside. Cooper tried to regain control, swinging for a clothesline, but Enigma ducked and hit a spinning back elbow and followed up with a head scissors and hurricanrana. Cooper once again tried to regain control with an eye rake, but when he went for a sunset flip off the top Enigma blocked it and connected with his pendulum dropkick to the face and followed up with the Lethal Combination for a near fall.

Enigma then went up top to go for a frog splash, but Cooper recovered and threw Enigma off the top rope and onto some of the lumberjacks at ringside.

Cooper, then feeling very confident, took the time to harass the remaining lumberjacks. Sebb wasn’t having any of it though and he blasted Cooper with some quick shots and then military pressed Cooper back into the ring. Cooper continued to focus his attention on the lumberjacks, giving Enigma an opening to dropkick Cooper from behind and connect with the 619/frogsplash combo to take the 1,2,3 and become the Champion of Europe.

After the match the lumberjacks who had been landed on by Enigma attacked him, but the other lumberjacks came to his rescue and they all fought to the back. Enigma’s friend Matt Slater then came out and celebrated Enigma’s big victory.

5) Pippa L’vinn defeated Sensational Shelly to become the 1st NPWA Women’s Champion

These women did exactly what they do best, wrestle. From the very start the match went back and forth as they went hold for hold and move for move. Their incredible technical skill was on display and showed everyone in the building why they were the two selected to fight for the right to become the 1st NPWA Women’s Champion.

As we reached the final dramatic moments it looked like support of the fans was going to push Sensational Sherry on to take the victory, but what could have been a great moment was ruined as Pippa rolled up Shelly and then used the ropes for the extra leverage that she needed to hold her down for a three count and steal the Championship.

The NPWA’s own Miss Kennedy came to the ring and looked like she had something to say to the new Champion, but she didn’t get the chance as L’vinn smashed her in the face with the title belt.

6) The North-South Connection defeated The Fireball and Adrian Myers to become the new NPWA Tag Team Champions

The introductions for this match pretty much set the tone. You had the challengers, given a big introduction from Wildcat and welcomed by huge cheers and rounds of applause from all in attendance. Then came the Champions, greeted by boos, insults and a shower of drinks. Two of the top teams in the NPWA stood face to face ready to compete for the title of NPWA Tag Team Champions.

Underneath the surface of this tag team clash was the ongoing rivalry between Jonny Storm and The Fireball that kicked off at Night of Champions 5 last June. It looked like they were ready to jump right back into it at the start of the match, but Fireball soon changed his mind and decided to let Myers start things off.

Myers and Storm went back and forth, exchanging holds, with some technical wrestling but an incredible springboard arm drag allowed storm to take control. It wasn’t long before the Wild man tagged in and Myers tried to take him down, but the size difference was too much and Myers could barely move the big man let alone know him off his feet. An illegal assist from Fireball left the champs feeling confident, but Wild was right back to his feet and dominated Myers with pure power. Strom then tried to finish things off with an impressive hanging stunner and a springboard moonsault, but Myers was able to kick out.

Fireball again provided an illegal assist when he tried to trip Storm as he went for a 619, Fireball may have got a punch in the face for his efforts but the distraction allowed Myers to take out Storm with a leg lariat.

The champs were now in total control of Storm and used their impressive teamwork skills to inflict maximum punishment. Storm was lucky to kick out after a devastating double hiptoss powerbomb followed by a double rolling senton.

Storm battled through the effects of a sleeper and fought back with some impressive offence, but it wasn’t long before the whole match broke down and the wrestlers started brawling throughout the building. Myers and Wild went back and forth with blows in the toilets while Fireball and Storm battled through the crowd.

Eventually the action came back to the ring. Fireball tried to take out Storm with an axe handle smash off the top rope, but Storm met him with a superkick. Both men struggled to the corners and made a tag, Myers once again struggled to hurt Wild and was almost beaten by the Wild driver but Fireball made the save.

Storm then dropkicked Fireball, who rolled to safety on the outside, and Storm followed up with a top rope dive through the ropes. With the referee checking on the two wrestlers on the outside, Myers tried to take advantage. He swung at Wild with the tag team championship belt, but Wild ducked the shot and delivered his pedigree onto the belt.

Myers was knocked out cold and the referee counted the 3, while Storm held Fireball down on the outside.

The North-South Connection are your new Tag Team Champions!

7) Paul “Flash” Andrews defeated AC Kage and “The Sexy Monkey” Robin Knightwing in a triangle elimination match to retain his NPWA World Championship

It was now time for the main event, the huge Triangle match for the NPWA World Championship. Two men would be eliminated; one would walk away with the Championship.

AC Kage handed over the stolen title belt to NPWA officials during the match as agreed, believing that by the end of the match he would be officially recognised as the Champion.

Across the ring you had the true Champion Paul Andrews, looking to prove to everyone that he really is the best wrestler in the NPWA today, and the 2nd challenger Robin Knightwing, hoping to show the fans in the UK why Canada is one of the greatest wrestling nations.

The match would go back and forth as all three wrestlers looked strong and fans believed that any of these three men could walk out as the NPWA Champion. Nobody wanted to let the others get an advantage, so it was tough for anyone to score a pinfall, plus we had a few short-term alliances formed to try and eliminate a certain wrestler. Fans were shocked to even see Andrews and Kage unite at times to try and remove the threat of the sexy monkey.

After many near falls, the finish would come all at once and showed the true ability of the three men in the ring. AC Kage looked to have Andrews beat as he hit his Deadlights, but before he could make the cover he walked right into an incredible fireman’s carry reverse DDT from Knightwing who then scored a fall of his own. Andrews was still down from the Deadlights, but as Robin went to pin him as well Andrews shocked him with an inside cradle and got the 1,2,3 to eliminated Knightwing and win the match.

Andrews has shown himself to be a real World’s Champion, beating both the best of Britain and the best of Canada. However, AC Kage still had other ideas. D.N.A rushed the ring with the aim of stealing the Championship belt once again. Robin Knightwing showed himself to be a genuine sportsman when he stepped in to help Flash fend off the AC Kage in the ring, while LC Cobra held off the other DNA members outside the ring, between them both, Cobra and Knightwing ensured that the title belt stayed with the Champion. The show then came to an end with Knightwing and Andrews sharing respect and the cheers of the fans.

Pictures of the event will follow shortly, also a DVD of the entire event will be available through this websites shop. If you are interested in on of the DVD's please contact us at admin@nitroprowrestling.com.
